How Mathidia uses AI to generate explanations, hints and practice, what it can get wrong, and how to use it safely alongside your teacher.

Where AI is used at Mathidia

Explanations and worked steps

Lesson explanations, worked examples and step-by-step solutions may be generated or assisted by AI models and then reviewed by our team.

Answer-first practice

When you type or speak an answer, automated checking decides whether it matches an accepted form and offers feedback and hints.

Placement and study plans

Your placement assessment answers are used by rule-based and adaptive logic to suggest a track and a first-week plan.

What AI can get wrong

  • An explanation may be incomplete, oversimplified or occasionally incorrect
  • Automated answer checking may not recognise an unusual but valid form of an answer
  • Spoken-answer recognition depends on your device, accent and background noise
  • A recommended track is a starting suggestion, not a formal assessment result
  • Content may not exactly match your school's syllabus, exam board or marking scheme

How to use it well

  • Verify anything important — exam preparation, coursework and graded work — with your teacher or official syllabus material
  • Report an incorrect explanation or wrongly marked answer so we can fix it
  • Treat Mathidia as support for learning, not a replacement for teaching, tutoring or formal education
  • You remain responsible for how you use AI-generated content, including any academic-integrity rules that apply to you

Your data and AI

Answers you submit and progress you record are processed to deliver feedback and personalise your plan. We do not sell your data, and we do not publish learner work. See the Privacy Policy and Data Protection Information for what is collected, how long it is kept and how to delete or export it.
